InterGlobe Aviation Ltd, parent company of IndiGo, has informed stock exchanges that its appeal against penalties imposed by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has been rejected by the aviation appellate authority. The case relates to pilot training conducted for Category C airports, which the regulator found was carried out using simulators not approved for such demanding operations. The DGCA had imposed fines of INR 20 lakh each on IndiGo's Director of Flight Operations and Director of Training.
