Sunsure Energy has signed a landmark 15-year agreement with NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Ltd (NVVN) to supply 500 MWh of peak power from a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL) as the end procurer. The agreement is the first of its kind in India, with billing based on a fixed tariff per unit of discharged energy rather than a fixed monthly rate. Power Mech Projects has secured a significant order valued at INR 370.84 crore (excluding GST and BOCW Cess) from Mahan Energen Ltd, a subsidiary of Adani Power Ltd. The contract is for the execution of civil works and the erection of prefabricated structural steel for the Mahan Phase-III project in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh. The scope of work for the 2 x 800 MW power plant includes critical components such as the boiler turbine generator (BTG) units, main powerhouse, and other ancillary systems. SAEL Industries has announced the commissioning of its maiden solar power project in Rajasthan, spread across more than 1,000 acres in Jalore district. Developed through subsidiary Sunfree Energy RJP1 Pvt Ltd, the project carries a capacity of 200 MW in Alternate Current and 298 MW in Direct Current. The company had signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT Services Ltd at a tariff of INR 2.61 per kWh.Read more

The first trial coaches for Mumbai Metro Line 4 were placed on tracks near Anand Nagar, Thane, on August 25, 2025, marking the project's final phase. Trial runs are set to begin in September, with the Yellow Line-running from Wadala to Kasarvadavali-expected to open to the public next year. Deputy CM Shri Eknath Shinde confirmed that work on Thane's underground internal metro line, linked to Line 4, is also progressing. The trial coaches, supplied under a BEML-L&T Alstom JV contract, will test systems before final trains arrive. BPCL is evaluating a greenfield refinery and petrochemical complex near Ramayapatnam Port in Andhra Pradesh to expand its refining and petrochemical capacity amid growing domestic energy demand.
