The Noida International Airport at Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, will be inaugurated on October 30, with passenger flights expected to start around mid-December. In the first phase, airlines are likely to connect the airport to at least ten cities including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Kolkata. Developed by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited, a Zurich Airport subsidiary, the new facility is expected to handle 12 million passengers annually and provide cargo connectivity. JSW Neo Energy, the subsidiary of JSW Energy, has signed an agreement to acquire Tidong Power Generation from Statkraft IH Holding for INR 1,728 crore. The under-construction 150 MW run-of-river hydroelectric project in Himachal Pradesh has a 22-year Power Purchase Agreement with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd for 75 MW at INR 5.57 per kWh during the May to October period. The remaining 75 MW is untied and can be sold on the merchant market. The transaction is subject to approvals and expected to close in the coming months.Read more

Kandla Port, under the Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), is set to extend its operations outside Gujarat for the first time, with plans to manage terminals in Maharashtra and Karnataka. This move aims to replicate Kandla's operational efficiency, reduce congestion at other ports, and increase cargo throughput. The expansion will begin with terminal management and could grow into full port operations, involving both government and private ports. Kandla Port handled more than 150 million metric tonnes (MMT) of cargo last year, primarily petroleum, oil, and lubricants.
