The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has invited bids to develop commercial spaces at the Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor. Around 18,578 square metres of station property will be offered on a 25-year licence to generate non-fare revenue and improve passenger facilities. The planned uses include rooftop restaurants, caf's, retail outlets, wellness centres and showrooms across multiple station levels. The station's location near dense residential areas and major transport links is expected to support strong commercial activity.Read more

Nashik's Neo Metro project, envisioned as a modern urban transit system, has remained stalled for nearly eight years despite receiving state-level approval. Planned as a rubber-tyred, air-conditioned metro spanning about 32 km, the project was estimated at INR 2,092 crore and was highlighted in the Union Budget. However, the absence of Union Cabinet approval and changing traffic patterns following the start of airport operations have led authorities to reassess its feasibility. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) in Mumbai recorded a record 55.5 million passengers in 2025, driven by strong domestic and international travel demand. Domestic passengers reached about 39.2 million, while international travellers numbered around 16.3 million. Delhi, Bengaluru, and Goa were the busiest domestic routes, while Dubai, London, and Abu Dhabi led international traffic. IndiGo, Air India, and Emirates dominated passenger volumes. January and November were the peak months, and the October-December quarter recorded the highest quarterly traffic. Paradip Port recently hosted the 25th All India Major Port Cultural Meet, bringing together over 200 participants from nine major ports across India, including Chennai, Cochin, Mumbai, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam and others. Organised under the Major Ports Sports Control Board, the four-day cultural event at Jayadev Sadan features competitions in classical and light vocal music, instrumental music, dance, and drama. Kolkata-based Texmaco Rail & Engineering has completed the hydro-mechanical systems for the 2,000 MW Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project at the Arunachal Pradesh Assam border. Acting as the sole contractor, the company managed design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the systems needed for eight units of 250 MW each. Unit 1 started wet commissioning in late October, while Unit 2 entered commercial operation in December 2025. The remaining units are planned for phased commissioning through the 2026-27 fiscal year, contributing significantly to India's renewable energy supply.Read more

The National Highways Authority of India has set four Guinness World Records during construction of the Bengaluru-Kadapa-Vijayawada Economic Corridor on NH 544G, highlighting rapid progress in highway development. The records include the longest continuous bituminous concrete paving and the highest quantity laid in a single day, achieved near Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh. Additional milestones were set for large-scale continuous paving across multiple packages of the project. The central government recently launched infrastructure and digital projects worth INR 235 crore at Chennai Port Authority and Kamarajar Port Limited, aimed at strengthening port safety, resilience, and operational efficiency. The Adani Group and Brazilian aerospace company Embraer are collaborating to establish India's first commercial aircraft final assembly line (FAL).
