Dalmia Bharat to acquire Jaiprakash Associates cement assets under insolvency process for INR 2,850 crore

Dalmia Bharat has signed a Business Transfer Agreement through its subsidiary Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd to acquire cement assets of debt-laden Jaiprakash Associates, currently under insolvency proceedings and acquired by Adani Enterprises via a resolution plan. The transaction, valued at an enterprise value of INR 2,850 crore, includes cement plants in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh with 5.2 MTPA capacity, 3.3 MTPA clinker capacity and 99 MW of thermal power assets. Reliance Power posts INR 494 crore Q4 loss, approves INR 9,000 crore fundraising plan

Reliance Power reported a consolidated net loss of INR 494 crore for the quarter ended March 31, compared with a profit of INR 125.57 crore in the same quarter last year, as per a regulatory filing in New Delhi this week. Total income declined to INR 1,946.33 crore from INR 2,065.64 crore year-on-year. For FY26, the company posted a net loss of INR 336.89 crore against a profit of INR 2,947.83 crore in FY25.
