Start Campus, a company specialising in sustainable data centres, has received an expanded power allocation from REN, Portugal's transmission system operator. This increase brings the total IT capacity for their SINES DC project to 1.2 GW, up from the initial 495 MW. This development positions SINES DC as Europe's largest colocation site with fully secured grid power. The SINES DC campus, situated south of Lisbon, will consist of six buildings (SIN 01-06) and is set to be developed in phases until 2030.
