The new space includes 700 work units and officially opened earlier this month in DLF Cybercity, a key business hub in the National Capital Region (NCR).


This latest move aligns with DTDL's operations which began earlier this year, reflecting a broader trend of companies reevaluating their workspace needs post-pandemic. According to Kanwardeep Singh Ahluwalia, Managing Director of DTDL, the decision to lease additional space at WeWork is driven by the company's growth and the importance of collaboration among team members. He noted that bringing the team together is essential for driving the business forward and emphasised that this is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter for DTDL.

The demand for flexible workspaces has surged in NCR, a thriving region for multinational corporations. WeWork currently manages approximately 1.08 million square feet of workspace across the Delhi-NCR area, catering to the needs of various industries including telecommunications, finance, and IT services. Karan Virwani, CEO of WeWork India, shared that the current deal with DTDL is one of the significant contracts signed this year, highlighting an ongoing demand for flexible office solutions during the market recovery.

WeWork's expansion plans include an additional 79,000 square feet in Noida, expected to open by the third quarter of FY2025. This follows a strong growth trajectory for the company, which reported a 40% increase in revenue for the first half of FY2024, amounting to INR 831 crore. With a focus on flexibility, WeWork offers diverse options for businesses, from managed offices to on-demand day passes, all designed to accommodate the varied needs of its clients.

In addition to its operations in Gurugram, WeWork has recently expanded its footprint into Pune and Chennai, totalling an additional 183,000 square feet of space. With a presence in eight cities and over 70,000 active members, WeWork India has become a crucial player in the flexible workspace market, achieving an occupancy rate of around 82%, mostly driven by enterprise clients.

As companies like Deutsche Telekom adapt to the post-pandemic work environment, the push for collaborative and innovative spaces remains critical.
