In a recent review meeting, Prasad stressed the need for updating the status of over 71,000 houses according to both state and central government regulations. This move aims to streamline the housing development process and ensure timely completion of ongoing projects.
Prasad highlighted that the local government has sanctioned approximately 1.29 lakh houses out of a total of 1.39 lakh planned. The housing projects span both urban and rural areas, with 138 layouts designated for rural housing and 64 for urban development. Currently, progress on the housing construction varies, with 23,995 houses already completed. The Collector emphasised the importance of adhering to the government's 100-day action plan to expedite housing delivery and improve living conditions for residents.
To enhance accountability and communication among stakeholders, Collector Prasad instructed officials to actively engage with contractors and beneficiaries. He called for daily progress reports starting August 10, allowing for real-time assessment of each project's status. This daily review process will include a focus on specific milestones: 4,109 houses are expected to reach the slab level, and another 11,450 homes should be fully completed soon.
In addition to meeting construction milestones, the District Collector reiterated the importance of geo-tagging for all beneficiaries. This will not only ensure transparency in the housing allocation process but also facilitate more effective management of resources.
