These developments will cater to middle and high-income groups, with modern amenities such as parks, green spaces, and round-the-clock utilities. The BDA is also working on affordable housing projects for lower-income residents, reflecting its commitment to inclusive urban development.
Bhubaneswar's cityscape is poised to be transformed with the completion of three premium housing projects, currently under construction by the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA). According to official statements released on Sunday, these projects are expected to be ready for potential homeowners by the close of 2023.
Two of these developments, nestled in the heart of Kalinga Nagar at sites K9A and K9B, promise to offer residents a blend of comfort and convenience. The K9A project, a 10-storey commercial-residential hybrid, will stand alongside the five-storey exclusively residential complex at K9B. The third project is taking shape in Subudhipur.
Gouri Shankar Bhuyan, a planning member of the BDA, confirmed to the press that the K9B project is nearing its completion and that advertisement and allotment activities are soon to follow. She also confirmed that the remaining two projects are on track for completion by December this year.
Officials further reported that each of these residential complexes will boast a variety of modern amenities, including parks, green spaces, sewage treatment plants, zero discharge facilities, and round-the-clock water and electricity supply.
The K9A project, christened "Kharavela Complex," comes with a price tag of Rs 59 crore. The complex will feature 56 3BHK and 14 4BHK apartments designed for high-income residents. The ground and first floors are earmarked for commercial use.
Conversely, the K9B complex, dubbed "Daya Enclave," is a Rs 27.50-crore project set to accommodate the middle-income demographic with 128 2BHK apartments. The BDA anticipates commencing the allotment process by year's end.
The Subudhipur project, "Ekamra Residency," is an ambitious venture with a budget of Rs 199.64 crore. This 14-storey edifice, built using cutting-edge technology, will offer 416 2BHKs and 288 3BHKs, catering to both middle and high-income groups.
In addition to these high-end undertakings, the BDA is also overseeing several affordable housing projects throughout the city. These initiatives aim to provide quality housing for individuals from lower income groups and economically weaker sections of society.
In conclusion the Bhubaneswar Development Authority's ambitious housing projects, nearing completion, are poised to reshape the city's skyline and cater to diverse income brackets. These endeavours reflect BDA's commitment to ensuring quality housing for all residents, underlining the body's dedication to sustainable and inclusive urban development.
