Actions included demolitions in Belapur, Turbhe, Koparkhairane, and Ghansoli, where structures by Mahesh Kumbhar, Ravindra Waghmare, Vasudev Patil, Dilip Patil, Atmaram Yedge, Jayashree Shinde, Sonu Gupta, and Sagarnath Madhavi were removed. This effort involved a range of equipment and personnel, ensuring strict adherence to urban planning laws. Authorities pledge continued action to enforce regulations and prevent further violations.
In Navi Mumbai, authorities have launched a crackdown on unauthorised constructions across eight locations. This action was taken despite prior notices issued under Section 54 of the Maharashtra Regional Urban Planning Act, 1966. The raids were conducted under the guidance of Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde and Deputy Commissioner of the Encroachment Department Dr. Rahul Gethe.
In Belapur, unauthorised constructions at Shahabaz village, including seven galles and additional house constructions by Mahesh Kumbhar, were removed. Similarly, eight clods built by Ravindra Waghmare were demolished.
In Turbhe, action was taken against Vasudev Ramchandra Patil's unauthorized construction at House No. 568 in Sector 5 Sanpada. In Koparkhairane, demolitions were carried out at House No. 1026 and House No. 1035 in Sector 4A, belonging to Dilip Vasant Patil and Atmaram Laxman Yedge, respectively.
In Ghansoli, additional construction on the sixth floor of Jayashree Sham Shinde's building was removed. Similarly, the RCC column and plinth of Sonu Bholekumar Gupta's building in Dattanagar were demolished. The third, fourth, and fifth floors of Sagarnath Rama Madhavi's RCC building were also taken down.
This coordinated effort involved Assistant Commissioners and engineers from multiple divisions, including Belapur, Turbhe, Koparkhairane, and Ghansoli. Necessary equipment like laborers, poklans, gas cutters, breakers, and JCBs were used for the demolitions.
Municipal Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde and Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rahul Gethe have indicated that such actions will continue with similar intensity in the future to ensure compliance with urban planning regulations.
