The Indore Development Authority (IDA) has recently allocated 138 flats in Scheme 155 through a lottery system. The chairman of the authority, Jaypal Singh Chawda, has revealed that there are a total of 808 ready-possession flats available in buildings within Scheme 155, which is situated near Sangam Nagar and is designed for low and middle-income groups. The complex features three gardens, as well as facilities such as lifts, covered parking, boundary-walls, and fire safety arrangements.
According to officials the starting prices of the flats are INR 9.74 lakh for a 2RK flat (total 35 units), INR 15.35 lakh for a 1BHK (total 565 units), and INR 20.09 lakh for a 2BHK (total 208 units). IDA recently organised a six-day fair on March 20 for the sale of these flats at the five-year-old rate. During the fair, IDA received a total of 178 applications for 2RK, 1BHK, and 2BHK flats, out of which 138 applicants were successfully allotted flats this week.
Officals stated that the reservation letters for the allotted flats will be distributed by April 20, which can be used by beneficiaries to avail loans and take possession of their flats. The remaining flats will be allotted through the same process in the next six months.
This initiative by IDA is commendable as it provides affordable housing to low and middle-income groups in the city. The allocation of flats through a lottery system is a fair and transparent method that ensures equal opportunities for all applicants. Furthermore, the availability of flats in the heart of the city is highly beneficial, as it reduces travel time and expenses for the residents.
In conclusion, IDA's allocation of flats in Scheme 155 through a lottery system is a step towards providing affordable housing to low and middle-income groups in the city. The provision of facilities and the location of the flats make it an attractive option for prospective buyers. This initiative is a commendable effort by the IDA to address the housing needs of the people and contribute to the development of the city.
