Currently, there is only one India Expo Centre in Greater Noida located on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. A senior official of the authority stated that several events taking place in the region strains the capacity of India Expo Mart in Knowledge Park. Additionally, officials noted that the first phase of the Noida International Airport at Jewar to be unveiled in December will lead to an increase in demand for such a facility.

An official announced that the number of international and national level events in Greater Noida is expected to increase, leading to the authority's approval for constructing an exhibition-convention centre in Sector Chi. This proposal will be sent to the Uttar Pradesh government for approval, and work will commence soon after receiving the state's nod.

The new convention centre will also facilitate hospitality services for visitors and exhibitors and will also have a hotel facility on the upper floors of the building. Furthermore, in the same meeting, the authority also indicated a green signal to the construction of a Gati Shakti Cargo Terminal that will be up to 260 acres near the inland container depot in Gautam Budh Nagar district's Dadri. The purpose of this terminal is for logistics and handling of rail cargo.

An official confirmed that approximately 260 acres have been identified for the cargo terminal near Pali and Makora villages in the Dadri region. Officials noted the terminal will be built under the guidelines provided by the Union Government under which each state has to develop terminals to boost investments and handling cargo across the country.

The official added that this facility is expected to provide employment opportunities to around 15,000 people. With the construction of the cargo terminal, the region is set to become the main logistics hub of the NCR (National Capital Region), facilitating the movement of freight through the expressway and the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC).
