Synopsis

The Indore Development Authority (IDA) board of directors has formed a committee to review the pending lease renewals of approximately 10,000 plots in Scheme-78 Aranya. The IDA also discussed the proposed master plan of Indore, approving several construction projects, including the development of a sports complex and a swimming pool. They have also resolved to develop four new development schemes in the current financial year.

The Indore Development Authority (IDA) board of directors has formed a committee to address the issue of renewing

the lease of approximately 10,000 plots in Scheme-78 Aranya, which has been pending for the last decade. The lease

terms did not include a clause for owners to obtain a map approved by the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) for

construction purposes when the plots were initially allotted 40 years ago.

This has led to lease expirations without renewal as almost all constructions have been made without an approved map

from IMC. The IDA board has formed a committee to review the issue and coordinate with IMC to find a solution for

the renewal of the lease. The renewal will benefit thousands of residents in the area.

The IDA chairman, Jaypal Singh Chawda, also discussed the proposed master plan of Indore, which includes the

addition of 79 villages. This expansion will increase IDA's planning area, allowing the authority to take part in the

development of the western ring road and its schemes alongside it. The IDA has proposed constructing a 43.5-km

100m wide western road, which has been extended to an approximately 108km Green Ring Road to complete an outer

circle around the city. The proposal will be sent to T&CP for approval.

The board has also approved the development of a sports complex, providing required facilities in a 3.84-acre land in

Scheme-94. They have given administrative approval of Rs 50.50 Crore for the project. Additionally, terms and

conditions have been finalized for the provision of a swimming pool of international standard to a private agency for

operation and maintenance.

The board has also approved tenders for minimum bids of total Rs 69.15 Crore to construct three CM Rise School in

Nanda Nagar, Palkankariya, and Musakhedi area. They have also approved a tender of Rs 139 Crore to construct a

level-2 flyover at Luvkush Square. The board has given administrative approval of around Rs 1,700 Crore to develop

the TPS-09 and TPS-10 schemes in around 480 hectares of land.

The board has resolved to develop four new development schemes in the current financial year. They have formed a

committee to review the issue related to the plots allotted to Loha and Kirana traders and suggest steps required to

resolve it.

In summary, the IDA board of directors has formed a committee to address the pending lease renewals of

approximately 10,000 plots in Scheme-78 Aranya. They have also discussed the proposed master plan of Indore and

the addition of 79 villages, allowing the IDA to take part in developing the western ring road and its schemes

alongside it. They have approved the development of a sports complex, a swimming pool of international standard,

and several construction projects. The board has also resolved to develop four new development schemes in the

current financial year.
