Established in 1994 by PNC Menon and Sobha Menon, the Sri Kurumba Educational and Charitable Trust is making significant strides in philanthropy through its Sobha Community Home Project, "Griha Sobha 2024." This initiative is aimed at providing secure, safe, and completely free housing to 220 women-led underprivileged families in Palakkad district, addressing the prevalent issue of inadequate housing faced by economically disadvantaged families in India.

The recent inauguration event marked a milestone in the project, with the handover of keys for the first set of 100 homes. Additionally, the foundation stone was laid for another 120 homes, contributing to the commitment of providing a total of 1000 homes to women from resource-limited families. Notably, 13 landless families were provided with 5 cents of land each, upon which their homes will be constructed as part of this initiative.

The event witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Sobha Menon, Trustee of the Sri Kurumba Educational and Charitable Trust, and Ravi Menon, Chairman of Sobha Limited. State Ministers, MLAs, MPs, leaders across political parties, and various eminent dignitaries also attended the ceremony.
