The highlight was the Bodakdev plot opposite the Rajpath Club, fetching a record-breaking INR 148 crore and setting a new per-square-meter rate record at INR 3.20 lakh. The success continued with prime plots in Vatva and Makarba on the first day, followed by commercial plots in Makarba Town Planning Scheme 26 and Saipur Bogha Town Planning Scheme 48 on the second day. The AMC's adaptive strategy positions it favorably for future developments in Ahmedabad.

This surpasses the previous record set in May 2021, when another Bodakdev plot had fetched INR 77.04 crore.
The highlight of the auctions was the Bodakdev plot, situated opposite the Rajpath Club, which not only clinched a record-breaking INR 148 crore but also set a new per-square-meter rate record at INR 3.20 lakh. The significance of this achievement is magnified when compared to the previous sale prices.
The first day of auctions witnessed prime plots in Vatva and Makarba drawing substantial attention. In Vatva, a 2,623 sq m commercial plot exceeded expectations, fetching INR 38,000 per sq m, surpassing the base rate by INR 3,000. Similarly, the Makarba residential parcel, spanning 3,799 sq m, saw bids soar from a base rate of INR 35,000 per sq m to INR 82,000, resulting in a premium of INR 32,000.
On the second day, a commercial plot in Makarba Town Planning Scheme 26, measuring 6,657 sq m, was sold for INR 1.51 lakh per sq m against a base price of INR 1.5 lakh. This plot yielded INR 100.52 crore. Another commercial plot in Saipur Bogha Town Planning Scheme 48, spanning 677 sq m, was sold for INR 1.35 lakh per sq m against the base price of INR 50,000, fetching INR 9.13 crore.
The third day of auctions showcased the streak of AMC's success, with a total revenue of INR 109.65 crore from the sale of two plots.
This comprehensive success not only reflects the municipality's adaptability but also positions it favourably for future developments in the city. The AMC's revamped strategy and the renewed interest in acquiring prime plots in Ahmedabad are evident contributors to this significant financial boost.
