Homebuyers of Expressway Towers in Sector 109 in Gurugram held a meeting with a senior town planner and called for action against the developer for the prolonged delay in completing the housing project. The project, which was meant to be an affordable housing initiative by Ocean Seven Buildtech Pvt Limited (OSB), was launched in 2017 with a promise of handing over possession to buyers by 2021. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the deadline was pushed to 2023

The buyers have informed the senior town planner, Sanjeev Mann, that upon inspection of the construction site, they discovered that there is currently no activity, and it seems unlikely that the project will be completed within the given deadline. The DTCP has summoned the developer to attend a meeting with the homebuyers on Tuesday and warned of severe consequences under the law for the delay in project delivery.

In an interview captured by ET Realty, Ajay Kumar, one of the buyers, expressed concern that the developer may disappear after defrauding 1,089 buyers, as they have already paid the full cost for their flats, but construction has stopped for the past three years. He called on the DTCP, H-RERA, the office of the Chief Minister, and the police to act. Despite multiple attempts, the developer could not be reached for comment.
