• The Radisson Blu Hotel Nathdwara Stadium is being developed as India’s first integrated cricket stadium hotel project near Udaipur, Rajasthan.
• The development combines an international-standard cricket stadium with a luxury Radisson Blu hotel offering direct stadium-view rooms and hospitality facilities.
• Developed by the Miraj Group, the project is positioned as a sports tourism, hospitality and events destination targeting cricket, weddings and corporate gatherings.
• The integrated complex is expected to strengthen Nathdwara’s positioning beyond pilgrimage tourism through sports and experiential hospitality infrastructure.
The upcoming Radisson Blu Hotel Nathdwara Stadium in Rajasthan is emerging as one of India’s most distinctive hospitality and sports infrastructure developments, with multiple national and regional media reports describing it as the country’s first integrated cricket stadium hotel project. Located near Nathdwara and Udaipur, the project combines a large international-standard cricket stadium with a fully integrated five-star hotel developed under the Miraj Group’s Madan Paliwal Miraj Sports Centre initiative.
According to reports published by Business Standard and other media platforms, the project introduces a “stadium-view hospitality” concept where hotel guests can directly view live cricket matches from their rooms and balconies. The development has drawn comparisons with international stadium-hotel concepts associated with sports venues in England and other global markets.
The project includes a cricket stadium with reported spectator capacities ranging between 30,000 and 50,000 depending on future expansion phases and event configurations. Integrated into the stadium structure is a 234-room Radisson Blu hotel, with reports stating that nearly 75 per cent of the rooms provide uninterrupted views of the cricket field. The hotel portion begins from the seventh floor of the complex, while lower levels accommodate player facilities, operational infrastructure and separate access systems for athletes and guests.
Reports further highlighted the architectural and hospitality components of the project, including modern parametric façade design, dynamic lighting systems, premium metal exterior finishes, infinity pools overlooking the stadium, spa facilities, fine-dining restaurants, banquet halls, hospitality suites and landscaped lawns intended for weddings, exhibitions and corporate events.
The Radisson Hotel Group reportedly views the project as an important hospitality model aligned with India’s expanding sports and cricket economy. Media reports stated that company executives identified India’s growing sports tourism and live entertainment demand as key factors supporting the stadium-hotel concept. Reports also suggested that similar integrated hospitality formats are being explored for future cricket destinations including Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh.
The development’s location near Nathdwara and Udaipur has also been highlighted as a strategic advantage. Nathdwara remains one of Rajasthan’s major religious tourism destinations due to the Shrinathji Temple, while nearby Udaipur continues to attract luxury tourism, destination weddings and high-end hospitality investments. Reports stated that the integrated stadium-hotel project is intended to diversify Nathdwara’s tourism profile beyond pilgrimage travel by attracting sports events, concerts, celebrity functions, corporate gatherings and potentially IPL or international cricket fixtures in the future.
Public reactions across online cricket forums and social media platforms have also contributed to growing attention around the project. Discussions on Reddit and other digital platforms focused on the concept of watching live cricket matches directly from hotel balconies, with several users comparing the project to overseas stadium hospitality models while debating its long-term operational and infrastructure potential.
The project has emerged as one of Rajasthan’s most closely watched tourism and infrastructure developments as it combines sports infrastructure, luxury hospitality, religious tourism and experiential travel within a single integrated destination model.
