Synopsis

The Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) has received close to 800 applications for 465 industrial plots across Rajasthan under its Direct Allotment Scheme-2025. The plots, spread over around 294 acres and valued at nearly INR 550 crore, were offered to investors associated with the Rising Rajasthan investment summit. Industrial zones in Jodhpur, Ajmer, Alwar and near the Pachpadra refinery witnessed strong demand. RIICO has also revised its land allotment policy for underutilised industrial areas by offering plots at lower rates to attract industries, manufacturing units and MSME investments across the state.

The Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) has received nearly 800 applications for 465 industrial plots across different industrial areas in Rajasthan under the tenth phase of its Direct Allotment Scheme-2025. The plots are spread over around 294 acres and are estimated to be worth nearly INR 550 crore.

The industrial plots were offered mainly to investors and companies that signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) during the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit. The response highlights continued investor interest in industrial land, manufacturing projects and logistics development across Rajasthan.

Among the industrial regions, Kankani industrial area in Jodhpur recorded the highest demand with 267 applications. RIICO also received strong interest for industrial plots at IGP Ajaymeru Palra Extension in Ajmer with 48 applications, IGP Rundh Sokhri in Alwar with 43 applications, Borawas Kalawa Phase-I near the Pachpadra refinery with 31 applications and Boranada Extension with 58 applications.

The latest allotment phase forms part of Rajasthan’s larger industrial expansion plan focused on attracting investments in manufacturing, warehousing, engineering and MSME sectors. RIICO has been increasing industrial infrastructure development across the state through direct allotments, industrial park development and policy reforms aimed at improving land availability for industries.

RIICO has also revised provisions under its flexible land lease and rental policy for underutilised industrial areas. Under the updated policy, industrial plots in areas where over 25 per cent plots remained vacant even after two allotment attempts can now be offered at 60 per cent of the prevailing or reserved rate, whichever is higher.

The revised pricing policy has already started attracting interest from investors. In the previous allotment phase, RIICO had received 25 applications for 22 industrial plots offered at reduced rates, with Ajaymeru Palra Extension in Ajmer witnessing the strongest response.

In the latest phase, RIICO received 113 applications for plots located in underutilised industrial regions including Ajmer, Churu, Kishangarh, Lohawat and Mandore. The corporation is expecting the policy changes to improve industrial activity in areas that previously saw lower investor participation.

RIICO’s Direct Allotment Scheme-2025 was launched last year and will remain operational till the end of 2026. Earlier phases of the scheme had already resulted in allotment and offer letters being issued for more than 1,400 industrial plots across Rajasthan.

The Rajasthan government has also been focusing on improving ease of doing business, faster approvals and industrial infrastructure development to attract domestic and global investments. Industrial corridors, refinery-linked development zones and logistics infrastructure projects are expected to support future industrial growth across the state.
