Synopsis

Godrej Properties has completed the handover of more than 500 plots at its Forest Estate project in Nagpur. The company also conducted the first Nagpur edition of its customer handover initiative, Shubh Aarambh, as part of the process. The development marks another milestone for the Mumbai-based developer in the plotted development segment, which has seen rising demand across several tier-II cities. In recent years, Godrej Properties has been expanding its residential presence beyond metro markets through plotted communities and township-style developments in locations with improving infrastructure and housing demand.

Godrej Properties has completed the handover of more than 500 plots at its Forest Estate project in Nagpur, according to a company update released earlier this week.

The company said the handover was carried out through the first Nagpur edition of its signature customer engagement and possession initiative, Shubh Aarambh. The initiative is aimed at facilitating plot handovers and improving the customer onboarding experience for buyers taking possession of their properties.

Forest Estate is part of the company’s plotted development portfolio, a segment that has witnessed steady growth over the past few years as buyers increasingly look for land ownership opportunities and low-density residential communities. Demand for plotted projects has remained strong in cities such as Nagpur due to relatively lower entry costs, infrastructure expansion and improving connectivity.

Nagpur has emerged as an important residential and logistics market in central India, supported by infrastructure projects, industrial growth and road connectivity. Several developers have expanded their presence in the city in recent years as demand for residential plots and integrated communities increased.

Godrej Properties, one of India’s listed real estate developers, has been focusing on expanding its footprint across key metropolitan and emerging markets. The company has launched multiple residential and plotted projects across cities including Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Nagpur as part of its broader growth strategy.

The developer has also continued to strengthen its residential portfolio through land acquisitions, joint development agreements and township projects. In recent quarters, the company reported strong sales bookings supported by demand in both premium housing and plotted developments.
