SriLankan Airlines plans to increase its flight frequency between Colombo and Melbourne to 10 services per week from August 2026, in response to rising travel demand. The airline indicated that the expanded schedule will come into effect from early August, with the additional services operating on select days of the week. The move will augment its current daily operations on the route, which has seen consistent passenger demand across both leisure and visiting-friends-and-relatives segments.
The new flights will operate alongside the airline's existing daily service, improving overall capacity and providing greater flexibility for travellers.
