The mixed-use project will comprise a 150-key five-star hotel and 100 branded residences, located along Mohammed Bin Zayed Road overlooking the Green River. Accor has entered into an agreement with Contact Developments to develop the Pullman New Capital Hotel & Residences in Egypt's New Administrative Capital, marking the introduction of the Pullman Hotels & Resorts brand in Cairo.
The project will be located along Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and overlook the Green River, positioning it within a key zone of the New Administrative Capital, which is being developed as Egypt's future governmental and business hub. The development is designed as a mixed-use asset combining hospitality and residential components.
The project will feature a 150-key five-star hotel alongside 100 branded residences distributed across high-rise towers. The integration of hotel and residential offerings reflects a broader trend towards hybrid developments that cater to both transient and long-term occupancy demand.
The hotel component will include multiple food and beverage outlets, including a specialty restaurant and lobby lounge, as well as meeting and event facilities. Additional amenities such as a spa, fitness centre, and swimming pool are planned to support business and leisure travellers.
The residential component will comprise branded residences with access to hotel-managed services, aligning with rising demand for serviced living formats in key urban markets. Such developments are increasingly being positioned as lifestyle-oriented assets, combining hospitality standards with residential ownership.
The project also marks Contact Developments entry into the hospitality sector, expanding its portfolio beyond traditional real estate development. Company officials indicated that the partnership is intended to support the creation of integrated destinations in line with Egypt's broader urban development strategy.
Industry stakeholders noted that Egypt's New Administrative Capital has emerged as a focal point for large-scale real estate and infrastructure investments, with developers and global operators establishing a presence in anticipation of long-term demand. The location's connectivity to government, commercial, and residential districts is expected to support occupancy levels for hospitality and residential assets.
Accor continues to expand its presence in Egypt, which it identifies as a key growth market within the Middle East and Africa region. The addition of the Pullman project forms part of a broader pipeline of developments aimed at strengthening its premium segment portfolio.
Globally, the Pullman brand operates over 150 hotels across more than 40 countries, with a development pipeline exceeding 60 projects. The New Capital project is expected to contribute to this expansion, while reinforcing Accor's position in Egypt's hospitality sector.
The development highlights the growing convergence of real estate and hospitality sectors, particularly in emerging urban centres where integrated projects are being positioned to meet evolving demand for mixed-use environments.
