Officials from ADC, engineering teams, and PMC representatives accompanied the inspection across multiple sites.

Amaravati Development Corporation Chairperson and Managing Director Smt. D. Lakshmiparthasarathy has instructed contracting companies to improve basic living facilities for workers engaged in construction activities in Amaravati, especially those who have come from other states.

During inspections conducted at labour camps operated by Megha in Kuragallu village, BSR along the N-9 road, and L&T in Tallayapalem, she reviewed the overall living conditions provided to workers and their families. She checked the condition of rooms, beds, and mattresses, and observed that proper ventilation and adequate light should be ensured considering the prevailing heat conditions. She further directed that mosquito nets and blankets be made available in sleeping areas to improve comfort and hygiene.

She also examined toilet facilities in both men’s and women’s sections and instructed that regular cleaning and sanitisation should be strictly maintained. In addition, she suggested developing greenery within camp premises to improve environmental conditions.

Food arrangements at the camps were also reviewed. She inspected breakfast and lunch services at labour canteens and noted that in some locations workers were preparing their own meals. In such cases, she directed that essential cooking support, including gas cylinders, rice, vegetables, and other basic provisions, should be supplied to ensure convenience and proper nutrition.

ADC Chief Engineers B. Narasimha Murthy and CH. Dhananjaya, Executive Engineers K. Basaveshwara Rao, ESMU team members, and PMC representatives accompanied her during the inspection.
