Krystal Solar Energy SPV, an associate company of Krystal Integrated Services, has secured a rooftop solar project valued at approximately INR 138 crore from the Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Maharashtra, according to an exchange filing released in the past week.
The associate firm, in which Krystal Integrated Services holds a 49% stake, will execute the project across multiple government healthcare institutions, including hospitals and medical colleges in Maharashtra. The contract involves the deployment of grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems as part of efforts to enhance energy infrastructure within public healthcare facilities.
The scope of work includes comprehensive project execution covering design, engineering, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning of the solar systems. In addition, the contract also includes synchronisation with the grid and long-term operation and maintenance of the installed infrastructure, indicating a lifecycle-based engagement model.
The project aligns with broader government initiatives aimed at increasing renewable energy adoption across public infrastructure assets. Rooftop solar installations in healthcare facilities are expected to support energy efficiency, reduce dependence on conventional power sources, and provide reliable electricity supply for critical operations.
Sanjay Dighe, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Krystal Integrated Services Ltd, indicated that the order represents a strategic development in the company’s expansion into renewable energy and infrastructure services. He noted that the project strengthens the company’s positioning in this segment while supporting its diversification beyond core facilities management operations.
Krystal Integrated Services is primarily engaged in facilities management and manpower services, and has been expanding into infrastructure-linked service offerings. The award of the rooftop solar project reflects increasing participation by service providers in energy infrastructure deployment, particularly through specialised project entities.
The contract also highlights growing investment in decentralised renewable energy systems within government institutions, driven by policy support and the need for cost-efficient power solutions. The execution of such projects is expected to contribute to the broader integration of renewable energy into public sector infrastructure across states like Maharashtra.
