Synopsis

Waa Solar has entered into multiple power purchase agreements with Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited to supply 48.15 MW of solar power. The agreements, signed recently, involve a tariff range of INR 2.73 to INR 2.75 per unit and will remain valid for 25 years. The company will develop and operate solar projects to meet the contracted capacity. This move aligns with the state’s push toward renewable energy adoption and strengthens Waa Solar’s position in India’s growing solar power market.

Waa Solar has signed multiple power purchase agreements with Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited (MPPMCL), a state government undertaking, to supply 48.15 MW of electricity.

As part of the agreements, the company will generate power through solar projects with a total installed capacity of 48.15 MW. The electricity will be supplied to MPPMCL at a tariff ranging between INR 2.73 and INR 2.75 per unit. These agreements are structured for a period of 25 years, ensuring long-term revenue visibility for the company.

The development adds to Waa Solar’s existing renewable energy portfolio and reflects its continued focus on expanding solar generation capacity. The company has been actively participating in state-level bids and utility-scale solar projects, in line with India’s broader push to increase clean energy capacity.

Madhya Pradesh has been steadily increasing its renewable energy share, with several large-scale solar parks and procurement initiatives already underway. MPPMCL, as the nodal agency for power procurement in the state, has been entering into similar long-term agreements to secure cost-effective and sustainable power supply.
