ACME Solar Holdings has commissioned an additional 155 MW/470.25 MWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity through its subsidiaries, according to a recent company update.
With this addition, the company's total commissioned BESS capacity has increased to 297.67 MW/951.74 MWh. This is part of its larger planned capacity of 835 MW/3,114.64 MWh, which is being developed across multiple special purpose vehicles.
The newly commissioned facilities are located in Rajasthan and are connected to the existing Inter-State Transmission System. These projects will operate on a merchant basis, allowing the company to generate additional revenue by taking advantage of price differences between peak and non-peak electricity demand periods.

This includes solar, wind, storage, FDRE (Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy), and hybrid solutions. Out of this, the company has an operational contracted capacity of 2,978 MW and around 1.0 GWh of BESS capacity. Additionally, 5,093 MW of contracted capacity is currently under construction, which includes 16 GWh of planned battery storage installations.
