Garuda Aerospace has partnered with Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited to set up a drone training centre in Jaipur under a contractual arrangement. The facility will operate as a DGCA-compliant Remote Pilot Training Organisation, aimed at developing certified drone pilots for multiple sectors including agriculture, infrastructure, surveillance, and logistics. The initiative focuses on structured practical and theoretical training to address the growing demand for skilled drone operators in India. This collaboration also reflects ongoing efforts to expand drone education infrastructure through public-private partnerships.

The training centre will offer structured programs that combine classroom-based theoretical learning with hands-on practical training in drone operations. The courses are intended to prepare individuals to operate drones across different applications, including agriculture, infrastructure inspection, surveillance activities, and logistics support. The curriculum is expected to align with regulatory requirements for certification, enabling trainees to qualify as licensed drone pilots.
This initiative builds on the increasing demand for trained drone operators in India, driven by the expanding use of drones across commercial and government sectors. Over the past few years, drone adoption has grown steadily, supported by regulatory reforms and rising interest in technology-driven solutions for monitoring, mapping, and delivery services. Training centres such as this are being developed to bridge the skill gap and create a pool of certified professionals.
The Jaipur facility will also benefit from the institutional support and infrastructure associated with REIL, while Garuda Aerospace contributes its technical expertise in drone manufacturing and training. The collaboration is structured to enhance access to certified drone education in the region, particularly outside major metropolitan hubs, thereby improving regional participation in the drone ecosystem.
