One significant aspect of this MHADA lottery is that over 1,000 of these homes fall under the Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana (PMAY), a government housing scheme. The union government has increased the income threshold for the economically weaker section (EWS) category from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 6 lakh, making more individuals eligible for benefits under this scheme. Consequently, MHADA anticipates a surge in applications within this category.
The application period for this MHADA lottery will remain open until October 16, 2023, offering interested individuals ample time to participate. The lottery results are scheduled to be announced on November 7, providing hope for thousands of aspiring homeowners.
These affordable homes are strategically located in micro-markets near Mumbai, making them convenient for individuals seeking housing solutions in proximity to the bustling metropolis. It's worth noting that several of these apartments are part of under-construction projects, offering buyers the opportunity to invest in their future homes.
The entire registration process for the MHADA lottery is conducted online, enhancing accessibility and convenience for applicants. This MHADA lottery announcement follows closely on the heels of the Mumbai MHADA lottery results for the year 2023, which were unveiled in August. Additionally, MHADA's Pune board recently announced the sale of 5,863 affordable homes in Pune, Solapur, Sangli, and Kolhapur through a lottery held on September 6, 2023.
