Amaravati Growth & Infrastructure Corporation Ltd. Managing Director S. V. R. Srinivas carried out a comprehensive on-site inspection of multiple development projects currently underway in Amaravati, reviewing the progress of key infrastructure and institutional works that form part of the city's long-term development plan.
The inspection began with a visit to the MLA and MLC Housing project sites, where the Managing Director assessed the pace of construction and reviewed ongoing works with officials and executing agencies. Srinivas instructed the teams involved to maintain strict quality standards while ensuring that construction milestones are met within the stipulated timelines.
He also reviewed the progress of the NGO Housing project, another key residential component planned to support the administrative ecosystem of the capital region. During the inspection, officials briefed him on construction progress, project timelines, and operational challenges currently being addressed.
As part of the review exercise, Srinivas held a meeting with representatives from contracting firms at the KMV Project Office to evaluate the progress of the bungalow construction projects designated for judges, ministers and senior government secretaries. Discussions focused on project timelines, operational challenges and measures required to streamline construction activities. The Managing Director directed the agencies to address any bottlenecks and ensure smoother coordination to avoid delays.
The inspection also included a visit to the site of the High Court complex in Amaravati. Srinivas reviewed the development works in and around the premises and assessed the progress of supporting infrastructure designed to enhance accessibility and functionality of the judicial complex.
In addition to institutional infrastructure, the Managing Director evaluated the status of the Amaravati Government Complex (AGC) roads and underground utilities works. These works form a critical component of Amaravati's integrated urban infrastructure framework, encompassing road networks, drainage systems, water supply pipelines and dedicated utility corridors.
Officials overseeing the project presented updates on the current status of construction and outlined the next phases of development. The works are expected to strengthen connectivity and support the efficient functioning of the administrative district as development activities progress.
During the review, Srinivas emphasised the need for strong coordination among government departments, contractors and project management teams to ensure seamless execution of works. He also stressed the importance of strict monitoring of timelines and adherence to approved technical standards.
The ongoing infrastructure works are considered central to advancing Amaravati's vision as a planned administrative capital, with integrated urban infrastructure designed to support governance, residential development and institutional facilities. Officials noted that continued oversight and coordination would be crucial to maintaining construction momentum and achieving the project's development targets.
