Vedaanta already runs multiple senior living communities across southern India and has several others under development. The project aims to cater to growing demand for structured senior living options in Tamil Nadu.
Vedaanta Senior Living has announced a collaboration with the Sameera Group to develop its new senior living project, Vedaanta Ananta, in Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu, with an investment of INR 50 crore. The community will comprise 69 low-density villas, each designed to support independent living for seniors. The villas will be built within the integrated township called Sameera Universe, providing residents with access to a well-planned environment. Pricing for the villas will start at approximately INR 50 lakh, excluding applicable statutory charges.
Rahul Sabharwal, co-founder and director of Vedaanta Senior Living, explained that Tamil Nadu has emerged as a strong market for organised senior living. He added that the project aims to offer spaces where residents can live independently, maintain social engagement, and enjoy a supportive community. The development reflects the company's focus on creating senior living spaces that balance privacy, safety, and convenience.
Vedaanta already operates several active senior living communities in southern India and has additional communities under development. The company plans to expand its presence in key southern markets where demand for senior living continues to rise. The Chengalpattu project is part of Vedaanta's broader strategy to offer structured, age-appropriate residential options for seniors in growing urban and suburban areas.
The project also aligns with a larger trend across the region, as developers increasingly focus on housing solutions tailored for seniors. This includes providing facilities and layouts that ensure accessibility, community interaction, and long-term livability. Such developments are gaining attention as India'
s aging population seeks independent yet supportive residential options.
