Gera Developments has appointed Rajesh Yashwant Shirwatkar as its new Chief Financial Officer to strengthen the company's financial leadership as it expands its real estate operations. Shirwatkar will oversee financial planning, strategy, treasury, compliance, and governance. At the same time, Swapan Mukherjee has been elevated to the position of Group Chief Financial Officer and will supervise financial operations across the broader organisation. The appointment comes as part of a broader leadership restructuring within the organisation. Alongside Shirwatkar's appointment, Swapan Mukherjee has been elevated to the role of Group Chief Financial Officer. In his new position, Mukherjee will supervise financial operations across the wider group and provide oversight on financial planning and governance at the group level.
Managing Director Rohit Gera indicated that Mukherjee's expanded responsibilities would include guiding financial strategy across the organisation and ensuring that the company continues to maintain a strong financial structure while it scales its operations. The leadership transition reflects the company's effort to further strengthen financial management and internal systems as it prepares for the next phase of growth.
Shirwatkar brings more than two decades of experience in finance, with a strong background in the real estate sector. Prior to joining Gera Developments, he served as Deputy Chief Financial Officer at Shriram Properties. In that role, he was involved in financial planning, capital management and regulatory compliance as the company expanded its residential development portfolio.
Earlier in his career, he also worked with Assetz Property Group as Senior General Manager Finance, where he handled financial strategy, project finance and financial operations. His experience in managing financial structures for large residential developments is expected to support Gera Developments as it continues to expand its project pipeline and strengthen financial processes.

The developer is known for its premium residential projects and branded housing concepts, including developments focused on lifestyle amenities and integrated communities.
