Jayesh Logistics Ltd has secured a transportation contract valued at INR 34.42 crore from the Adani Group to support operations linked to a thermal power project in Madhya Pradesh. The contract involves transporting approximately 2.7 lakh metric tonnes of coal rejects from the Parsa Kente Colliery operated by Parsa Kente Collieries Ltd to the Mahan Energen thermal power plant located in Singrauli district. The work order, disclosed through a regulatory filing to the National Stock Exchange, will be executed over a period of 12 months. The company stated that the contract was awarded by a domestic entity and does not involve any related-party transaction. The project forms part of ongoing logistics and material handling activities required to support coal-based power generation operations in the region.
Jayesh Logistics Ltd has secured a transportation contract worth INR 34.425 crore from the Adani Group for logistics services associated with a thermal power generation project in Madhya Pradesh, according to a regulatory filing submitted by the company to the National Stock Exchange earlier this week. The contract involves the transportation of coal rejects from the Parsa Kente Colliery operated by Parsa Kente Collieries Ltd (PKCL) to the thermal power plant operated by Mahan Energen Ltd in Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh. The logistics work will be carried out through road transportation over an estimated execution period of 12 months.
Under the terms of the agreement, Jayesh Logistics will transport an estimated 2,70,000 metric tonnes of material from the mining site to the power generation facility located at Bandhaura village in the Singrauli region. The transportation activity is part of the operational supply chain supporting the thermal power plant's fuel handling and waste management processes.
Coal rejects generated during mining and processing operations typically require systematic transportation to designated facilities for utilisation or disposal. In thermal power projects, such materials may be used for energy generation depending on calorific value or handled as part of plant waste management operations. The movement of large volumes of such materials requires coordinated logistics arrangements between mining operations and power generation facilities.
Jayesh Logistics stated in its filing that the order had been awarded by a domestic entity within the Adani Group. The company clarified that the contract does not constitute a related-party transaction and that neither the promoter nor promoter group entities have any direct interest in the awarding entity.
The Singrauli region, located along the border of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, hosts several large coal-based thermal power plants and mining operations, making it one of India's major power generation and coal production hubs. Logistics operations in the region play a critical role in ensuring the steady movement of raw materials and by-products between collieries and power plants.
Transport contracts such as this typically involve large-scale bulk material movement over defined routes and timelines, supported by fleets of heavy commercial vehicles. For logistics service providers, such contracts form part of broader operations serving the energy and mining sectors, where consistent supply chain support is required for project execution and plant operations.
Jayesh Logistics indicated that the transportation contract will be executed over the next 12 months as part of the operational logistics requirements linked to the thermal power facility in Singrauli district. The project adds to the company's portfolio of transport services supporting industrial and energy sector operations across India.
