Global logistics automation company Vanderlande has opened its India Innovation Centre in Pune, strengthening its technology development and customer support capabilities in the Asia-Pacific region. Situated in Pune, the centre will leverage local engineering expertise to tailor automation technologies to meet market needs in India and neighbouring regions. According to Vanderlande, the India Innovation Centre will concentrate on developing software applications, control systems and integration frameworks that enhance operational performance, throughput and reliability for customers deploying automated logistics systems.
The Pune facility will support product customisation, validation and lifecycle services, including testing of control software and simulations, allowing faster deployment cycles and more responsive support for clients in sectors such as aviation, e-commerce and third-party logistics. The company said the centre will also play a role in training and knowledge transfer, enabling local teams and partners to build competencies required for next-generation automated operations.
