The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) is embarking on a significant initiative to establish an advanced industrial residential township in Pithampur sector-7. This ambitious project involves acquiring a substantial area of over 2,200 hectares across 12 villages in the Indore district. The development plan for sector-7 in Pithampur encompasses three phases and entails a total land allocation of 2,232 hectares.



The process has already commenced for acquiring 1,268 hectares of privately owned land, while the remaining area comprises government and forest land. Significant progress has been made in terms of compensation to landowners. An approximate sum of Rs 80 crore has been disbursed for procuring roughly 400 hectares of private land. Furthermore, these landowners will receive plots worth Rs 320 crore based on their eligibility criteria.



The timeline for completing the township is estimated at two to three years. Of the total land area, approximately 800 hectares have been earmarked for industrial setups. The remaining land will be utilized for constructing residential communities, including spacious apartments, developed by private firms. This housing is intended to accommodate laborers and other individuals associated with the industries in the vicinity.



This comprehensive project, encompassing the entirety of Pithampur sector-7, spans 12 villages within the Indore district, adjacent to Betma tehsil. The envisaged industrial residential township is designed to be equipped with modern amenities, catering to both industrial requirements and the comfort of the residents. The success of this venture is anticipated to set a benchmark for other industrial regions to emulate.
