Synopsis

The Trump Organization is set to enter the Australian market with a 91-storey skyscraper on the Gold Coast, valued at AUD1.5 billion (USD 1.06 billion). The project, which will feature a six-star resort-hotel, 270 apartments, retail spaces, a beach club, and a swimming pool, marks the brand's first hotel venture in the country. Local developer Altus Property Group has been pursuing the project for nearly 20 years, and construction will be Australian-owned and built while meeting Trump Organization standards. Apartments are expected to start at AUD5 million.

The Trump Organization has finalized a deal to construct its first tower in Australia, in a project valued at AUD1.5 billion (USD 1.06 billion). Developers say the 91-storey building is set to become the tallest structure in the country, located in the bustling seaside city of Gold Coast in Queensland.

The tower will feature a six-star resort-hotel, 270 residential apartments, retail spaces, a beach club, and a swimming pool, according to local developer Altus Property Group. The company highlighted that the skyscraper, branded as a Trump Tower, is designed to offer the highest-quality construction without a third-party luxury hotel brand.

The Trump Hotels website described the project as Australia's tallest tower, promising world-class amenities, iconic design, and uninterrupted views of the Gold Coast. Altus CEO David Young mentioned that he had pursued the project for nearly two decades, initially contacting Ivanka Trump in 2007 to propose the property as one of Australia's premier tourism destinations.

The final agreement with the Trump Organization was signed at the Mar-a-Lago resort earlier this month. Development is now progressing with design, engineering, construction, and fit-out. Young emphasized that the tower would be both Australian-owned and constructed in Australia, adhering to the Trump Organization's standards. Apartment prices are expected to start at AUD5 million.
