As part of the urban transport push, the Prime Minister flagged off 225 electric buses under the PM-eBus Sewa Scheme. Of these, 100 buses have been allocated to Guwahati, 50 each to Nagpur and Bhavnagar, and 25 to Chandigarh. The deployment is aimed at improving public transport availability while supporting cleaner mobility options in cities.
The visit also included the inauguration and foundation laying of several other development projects focused on urban infrastructure, digital capacity and public services.
