Synopsis

SpiceJet will start non stop flights between Ahmedabad and Sharjah in early February 2026, making Sharjah its second destination in the UAE after Dubai. The flights will operate five days a week, excluding Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and tickets are already available through the airline's website, app, and travel partners. The airline highlighted strong demand from business travellers, tourists, and the Indian expatriate community in the UAE. Ahmedabad's commercial and cultural connections with the Gulf region, along with a growing travel market, were cited as key reasons for launching this direct route.

SpiceJet has announced plans to begin non stop flights between Ahmedabad and Sharjah in early February 2026, extending its international network in the Gulf region. This will be the airline's second destination in the UAE after Dubai, reflecting consistent demand for direct travel connections between western India and the UAE.

The new flights will operate five days a week, with no service on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Passengers can book tickets through SpiceJet's official website, mobile app, and authorised travel agents. Early bookings are available to ensure passengers can plan ahead for the inaugural service.

The airline stated that the Ahmedabad Sharjah route has been introduced to cater to business travellers, tourists, and the Indian expatriate community who frequently travel between Gujarat and the UAE. Ahmedabad's strong commercial activity, cultural ties, and significant diaspora in the Gulf region were key factors supporting the launch.

SpiceJet's Chief Business Officer explained that Sharjah is an important regional hub with cultural and business significance. Adding this route aligns with the airline's strategy to expand its international presence while utilising available bilateral air service rights efficiently. The airline expects the service to strengthen both leisure and commercial travel between India and the UAE.

By providing a direct link, SpiceJet aims to reduce travel time and offer a convenient alternative to passengers who previously relied on connecting flights via other hubs. The new connection is expected to benefit tourism and trade in both directions and provide travellers with greater flexibility and choice.
