Synopsis

Three Indian entrepreneurs have launched LNK Energy, a next-generation integrated clean energy platform, with an initial investment of INR 10,000 crore planned over five years. The company will start with a 6 GW solar cell and module plant in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra, and expand into green fuels, including green hydrogen, and renewable energy generation. LNK Energy aims to support sustainable industrial growth, energy security, and domestic clean-energy development. Co-founders emphasized combining scale, technology, and capital discipline to create a long-term, fully integrated energy platform.

Three Indian entrepreneurs have introduced a new integrated clean energy platform, LNK Energy, with plans to invest INR 10,000 crore over the next five years. The launch took place during the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos.

The platform will begin operations with a 6 GW solar cell and module manufacturing facility, featuring an integrated ingot and wafer plant in Maharashtra. The initial project will cover 60 acres at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, producing high-efficiency solar cells and modules using advanced technology and international best practices. LNK Energy has formalized its collaboration with the Maharashtra government for this project.

The company's operations will span advanced manufacturing, renewable energy generation, and green fuels. Over time, it plans to produce key components such as junction boxes, battery platforms, and other energy storage solutions, contributing to a strong domestic clean-energy ecosystem.

Once the manufacturing base is established, LNK Energy will expand into green fuels, particularly green hydrogen, aiming to decarbonize hard-to-abate sectors through scalable, technology-driven solutions. In parallel, the company will develop a renewable energy portfolio as an Independent Power Producer (IPP) and via hybrid open access, integrating solar, storage, and other renewable sources to create a fully integrated platform across manufacturing, fuels, and operational assets.

The co-founders include Paritosh Ladhani, Joint Managing Director of SLMG Beverages; Kushagra Nandan, Co-Founder and MD of REnergy Dynamics (RED) and former MD of SunSource Energy; and Varun Karad, BioEnergy entrepreneur and CEO of RED, LNK Energy.

Ladhani highlighted that the company brings a structured, institutional approach to clean energy manufacturing, emphasizing scale, quality, and execution discipline. Nandan noted that LNK Energy is designed as a long-term institution, addressing national priorities such as energy security, industrial self-reliance, and decarbonization. Karad stressed the importance of integration, with manufacturing, green fuels, and renewable power working together to deliver scalable and sustainable solutions for the economy.
