NTPC Renewable Energy has initiated the commercial supply of 300 MW from its 500 MW Bhadla solar project in Rajasthan, effective January 13. The addition raises NTPC group’s total installed capacity to 87,287 MW and commercial capacity to 86,207 MW. The initial phase is being implemented through NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd and its subsidiary NGEL. The company has informed the stock exchanges about the declaration of the commercial operation date for this first 300 MW. This step reinforces NTPC’s commitment to expanding its renewable energy portfolio.
NTPC’s renewable energy subsidiary has started the commercial supply of 300 MW of electricity from the 500 MW Bhadla solar project in Rajasthan. The commercial operations for this phase commenced on January 13, marking a significant addition to the group’s renewable energy portfolio.
With this development, the NTPC group’s total installed capacity has reached 87,287 MW, while the commercial capacity stands at 86,207 MW, according to regulatory filings. NTPC informed the stock exchanges about the declaration of the commercial operation date for the initial 300 MW of the Bhadla Solar PV Project.
The project is being executed by NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd, a step-down subsidiary of NTPC Ltd, through its subsidiary NGEL. This marks a key step in NTPC’s ongoing efforts to expand its renewable energy footprint, especially in solar power generation.
