Global logistics major AP Moller-Maersk has held discussions with the Uttar Pradesh government on expanding its operations in the state, where it has been present for over two decades. The talks focused on logistics infrastructure, policy support, land availability and connectivity. State officials highlighted Uttar Pradesh's expressway network, industrial corridors and single-window clearance system. Maersk representatives acknowledged the stable business environment and expressed interest in evaluating fresh investment opportunities, indicating continued confidence in the state's logistics and industrial growth potential.
AP Moller-Maersk, the Singapore-based integrated logistics company, has initiated discussions with the Uttar Pradesh government to further expand its operations in the state. The interaction took place as part of the state's ongoing engagement with global companies to strengthen its logistics and industrial base.
The meeting was held between the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and senior Maersk executives, including the company's leadership responsible for business development and regulatory affairs across India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The discussions covered the state's investment ecosystem, ease of doing business measures and opportunities for scaling logistics and supply-chain operations.
State officials outlined Uttar Pradesh's infrastructure development, pointing to its growing network of expressways, logistics parks, industrial corridors and multimodal connectivity. The government reiterated its commitment to providing policy support, land availability and time-bound approvals through its single-window system to facilitate large investments.
Maersk officials shared that the company has been operating in Uttar Pradesh for more than 20 years and has had a stable experience with governance, law and order, and regulatory processes. They conveyed interest in exploring new investment avenues in logistics and related services, aligned with the state's infrastructure growth and rising industrial activity.
AP Moller-Maersk operates across shipping, ports, inland transport and supply-chain solutions globally. Its proposed expansion in Uttar Pradesh is expected to focus on strengthening logistics efficiency and supporting trade and manufacturing activities in the region, in line with the state's broader economic development plans.
