Synopsis

The Airports Authority of India has awarded a contract worth INR 17.16 crore to SoftTech Engineers Limited for the deployment of an AI-powered, BIM-based Project Monitoring System across its infrastructure projects. The system is designed to digitally monitor projects across planning, execution and reporting stages, improving transparency, coordination and decision-making. Powered by SoftTech Engineers proprietary CivitINFRA platform, the solution integrates artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide real-time insights into cost management, progress tracking, documentation and reporting. The web- and mobile-enabled platform will allow stakeholders to access project data and analytics on a unified interface, supporting governance and operational efficiency. The award reflects AAI's growing focus on technology-led project oversight and reinforces SoftTech Engineers role in India's broader infrastructure digitisation and digital transformation efforts.

The Airports Authority of India has awarded SoftTech Engineers Limited a contract valued at INR 17.16 crore to implement an AI-powered, Building Information Modelling-based Project Monitoring System for infrastructure projects under its purview. The engagement marks a significant step in AAI's efforts to strengthen digital oversight, transparency and efficiency across large and complex airport development programmes.

Under the contract, SoftTech Engineers will deploy a BIM-based Project Monitoring System that enables real-time tracking and digital monitoring of projects across planning, execution and reporting stages. The system is intended to provide improved visibility and control over project performance, allowing stakeholders to access accurate data and make timely, informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle.

The solution will be delivered through CivitINFRA, SoftTech Engineers proprietary digital infrastructure management platform. Enhanced with artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities, the platform integrates multiple project management functions within a single digital environment. These include cost estimation and budgeting, contract and document management, progress tracking, communication workflows and automated reporting. By consolidating these functions, the system is expected to simplify oversight, reduce information silos and improve coordination among project teams, consultants and decision-makers.

Designed for both web and mobile access, the platform will allow project teams and senior officials to monitor progress and key metrics remotely, providing real-time insights and actionable analytics regardless of location. This capability is particularly relevant for infrastructure programmes that involve multiple sites, contractors and timelines, where timely access to accurate information is critical.

Commenting on the award, Vijay Gupta, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of SoftTech Engineers, said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to using advanced digital tools to improve infrastructure delivery. He noted that the integration of AI-powered monitoring systems would help set higher benchmarks for efficiency, transparency and data-driven decision-making in public sector projects.

The contract underscores AAI's confidence in SoftTech Engineers technical capabilities and its experience in delivering scalable, future-ready digital solutions for large infrastructure programmes. It also highlights the increasing adoption of technology-led governance frameworks within India's infrastructure sector.

For SoftTech Engineers, the project further strengthens its position as a key participant in India's infrastructure digitisation journey and is expected to support wider adoption of intelligent project management systems across airports and other public infrastructure assets.
