The Madhya Pradesh state cabinet has approved a major four-lane road infrastructure initiative connecting Badwah and Dhamnod at an estimated cost of INR 2,508 crore. The project aims to enhance regional connectivity in the state's western corridor, reduce travel time, improve freight movement and strengthen linkages with national highways. Improved road connectivity is expected to benefit multiple sectors, including agriculture, industry and commerce, by reducing logistics costs, improving access to marketplaces and enabling more efficient supply chain linkages. The Badwah-Dhamnod corridor also serves as a feeder to larger national highways, and its enhancement is anticipated to bolster transit efficiency for freight mobility extending beyond state borders.
