The Mumbai second edition of the DLC Guide 2025 concluded with an industry-led evaluation of restaurants, hotels and bars based on operational excellence and guest experience. Founded by Jimmy Mistry under the Della Leaders Club, the guide follows an independent, audit-driven framework inspired by global benchmarks. The edition recognised select dining venues, Fairmont Mumbai in the hotel category, and Sixteen33 among bars. Supported by a diverse professional panel, the platform has expanded across five countries and nine cities within 18 months, assessing over 99 establishments worldwide.
The Mumbai second edition of the DLC Guide 2025 concluded with a formal industry gathering at a leading hotel near the city's international airport, bringing together senior voices from hospitality, food and beverage, real estate-linked hospitality ventures, and entrepreneurship. The platform, founded by Jimmy Mistry under the Della Leaders Club banner, is positioned as an independent global rating framework focused on operational performance, service consistency and guest experience rather than popularity or promotion.
Modelled on established international benchmarks, the DLC Guide functions as a credit-style evaluation system for hospitality businesses. Its assessment process looks at real-world delivery, management standards and long-term impact on guests, with the stated aim of offering an unbiased reference point for the sector.
The Mumbai edition recognised selected establishments across restaurant, hotel and bar categories. In dining, the guide acknowledged Masque, The Table, Izumi, Paradox, Akina, Late Checkout, Mizu Izakaya, La Loca Maria, Bandra Born, INKA by Bastian, Comorin, Gaijin, Ziya, Milagro and Dum Phukt for maintaining consistent quality, innovation and overall guest experience. Fairmont Mumbai was the only hotel to be recognised, cited for its end-to-end luxury offering and operational standards. In the bar segment, Sixteen33 was awarded for its concept-led positioning and role in shaping Mumbai's evolving nightlife and beverage culture.
The evaluation was supported by a diverse panel of professionals spanning hospitality, media, fashion, real estate, law, entertainment and business leadership. The panel included founders, chief executives and managing directors from organisations such as Maison Sia, Wizcraft, Polymerupdate, Vu Televisions, SDA Bocconi Asia Centre, Welspun, Creed Entertainment and Notandas Realty, among others. Their combined expertise was intended to ensure balanced assessments aligned with international hospitality norms.
At the close of the event, Jimmy Mistry said the guide was conceived as a thought-led initiative to establish India as a credible contributor to global hospitality standards. He noted that the Mumbai edition reflected growing industry confidence in independent benchmarking and the country's increasing relevance in experiential hospitality.
The evening also acknowledged industry figures and stakeholders whose presence underscored the breadth of engagement across allied sectors. These included senior executives from hospitality companies, well-known chefs, consultants, entrepreneurs, and professionals from aviation, lifestyle and creative fields.
Launched around a year and a half ago, the DLC Guide has expanded quickly beyond India. It now operates across five countries, including the United States, the UAE, the UK, Singapore and Thailand, and covers nine cities globally. Over this period, it has evaluated more than 99 restaurants and hotels through a network of over 74 independent auditors, positioning itself as one of the few Indian-origin platforms to gain recognition in international hospitality circles.
Future editions are planned across additional domestic and overseas markets, with the platform indicating a continued focus on strengthening its audit framework and contributing to discussions around transparency and global standards in hospitality.
