Synopsis

Noida International Airport has entered into a partnership with Tech Mahindra to establish and operate an integrated Network and Security Operations Centre for the airport. The collaboration will focus on building a secure, scalable and resilient digital infrastructure from the early stages of development. Tech Mahindra will provide 24x7 monitoring and management of critical IT systems, including networks, applications and data platforms. The NOC-SOC will help detect and respond to cybersecurity and network issues proactively, supporting stable and secure airport operations ahead of launch.

Noida International Airport (NIA) has partnered with IT services firm Tech Mahindra to set up and operate an integrated Network Operations Centre and Security Operations Centre (NOC-SOC) for the upcoming airport. The collaboration was announced earlier this week and marks a key step in building the airport's digital backbone ahead of the start of operations.

Under the partnership, Tech Mahindra will work closely with NIA to create a structured and process-driven technology ecosystem with cybersecurity embedded at its core. The aim is to ensure that network reliability, data protection and scalability are built into airport systems from the initial stages of development, rather than being added later.

As part of the agreement, Tech Mahindra will provide round-the-clock monitoring and management of the airport's critical IT infrastructure. This will cover applications, databases, networks, servers, storage systems and other digital platforms that support airport operations. Continuous oversight is expected to help minimise disruptions and address risks in real time.

The integrated NOC-SOC will enable proactive identification, assessment and response to both network and cybersecurity incidents. This setup is designed to support high system availability, operational continuity and strong security standards across all airport functions, including passenger services, operations and back-end systems.

The management of Noida International Airport indicated that, as a greenfield project, the airport has the advantage of building resilience, security and operational efficiency into its digital systems from the outset. The partnership with Tech Mahindra was described as an important move towards creating a future-ready network and cybersecurity framework that can support safe and smooth airport operations over the long term.

Noida International Airport is being developed at Jewar under a public-private partnership model by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited, a subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG. The first phase of the project covers around 1,300 hectares and includes one runway and a terminal building. Over four phases, the airport will expand to nearly 5,000 hectares, making it the largest airport in India by land area. Airport operations are expected to begin soon.
