Synopsis

Police in Lucknow have registered a fraud case against Fahad Yazdani, owner of Yazdan Infrastructure, and three associates for allegedly defrauding buyers in connection with a residential project. The complainant claimed that flats were sold with purported approvals and necessary clearances, but the project was later ordered to be demolished by the development authority. Authorities allege that the accused extorted significant sums from multiple buyers.

Law enforcement officials in Lucknow have filed a fraud case against Fahad Yazdani, the owner of Yazdan Infrastructure, and three others following allegations that they misled flat purchasers. The case was registered by Hussainganj police after a formal complaint was lodged by a buyer.

The complainant stated that he and a friend had sought to purchase flats several years ago and were directed to Yazdan Infrastructure's Alaya Apartments project on Purana Qila Road. Yazdani, a resident of Hussainganj and proprietor of Yazdan Infrastructure, is said to have informed the buyers that the project had been duly approved by the Lucknow Development Authority and that all necessary no-objection certificates were in place.

On this basis, the complainant acquired flat number 602, and his associate bought flat number 302. However, the alleged deception came to light when the development authority ordered the demolition of the building.

The complainant has alleged that Yazdani and his associates defrauded many buyers by collecting funds for flats that lacked valid approvals and that, when asked to refund the money, the accused only provided assurances.

Multiple cases have reportedly since been registered against the accused at various police stations across the city in relation to similar allegations of fraud.
