ACME Solar has commissioned 52 MW of its 100 MW wind power project in Gujarat's Surendranagar district, implemented through its subsidiary ACME Eco Clean Energy. The project is being developed in phases, with the latest tranche adding 8 MW. Power from the project will be supplied under a 25-year PPA with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited. The project is financed by Power Finance Corporation. ACME Solar currently operates 2,942 MW of renewable capacity and has 4,578 MW under construction, including 15 GWh of battery storage.
ACME Solar has completed the commissioning of 52 MW out of its planned 100 MW wind power project located in Surendranagar district of Gujarat. The project is being implemented in stages through its subsidiary, ACME Eco Clean Energy Pvt Ltd. In the most recent phase, an additional 8 MW of capacity was brought online, taking the total commissioned capacity past the halfway mark.
The power generated from this wind project will be supplied under a long-term arrangement. ACME Eco Clean Energy has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited, the state-owned power procurement agency. Such long-duration PPAs are commonly used to ensure revenue stability for renewable energy projects while supporting state utilities in meeting clean energy targets.
The project has received financial backing from Power Finance Corporation, a government-owned lender that has been actively supporting renewable energy infrastructure across India. PFC has previously financed several large solar and wind installations as part of the country's broader transition toward non-fossil fuel-based power generation.
ACME Solar Holdings Limited, headquartered in Gurugram, has steadily expanded its presence across multiple clean energy segments over the past few years. Apart from wind energy, the company operates projects in solar power, energy storage, firm and dispatchable renewable energy, and hybrid solutions. Its current operational portfolio stands at 2,942 MW, while projects totaling 4,578 MW are under various stages of construction. This pipeline also includes battery energy storage systems with a cumulative planned capacity of 15 GWh.
Gujarat continues to remain a key state for wind energy development due to its favorable wind conditions, established transmission infrastructure, and consistent policy support. Projects such as ACME Solar's Surendranagar installation add to the state's growing renewable capacity and contribute to national clean energy commitments.
