The proposed hotel will feature contemporary banqueting facilities and signature culinary offerings, aimed at catering to large conventions, global events and high-end business travel. The land parcel, leased for 91 years, reflects a significant investment commitment and aligns with the growing prominence of Yashobhoomi as a major international convention destination. The development is expected to enhance hospitality infrastructure in the national capital region while supporting the venue's ambition to attract marquee global events. The project adds to ITC Hotels established footprint in Delhi-NCR and reinforces its strategy of expanding in high-impact business and convention hubs.
ITC Hotels Ltd has announced that it has been allotted land on a long-term lease at Yashobhoomi in Dwarka for the development of a five-star hotel, marking a significant addition to hospitality infrastructure around India's flagship convention and exhibition centre. The proposed property is intended to cater to the growing demand generated by large-scale conventions, exhibitions and international events being hosted at the venue.
According to regulatory disclosures, the land parcel has a ground coverage of around 3,648 square metres and has been leased for a period of 91 years. ITC Hotels will pay a lease premium of Rs 326.50 crore for the allotment. The development is planned as a premium five-star hotel with modern banqueting facilities and curated culinary experiences, positioning it as a key hospitality anchor for the Yashobhoomi precinct.
Yashobhoomi has rapidly emerged as a major hub for the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions segment, having already hosted several large trade shows and high-profile conventions. The addition of a luxury hotel is expected to further enhance the venue's appeal by offering integrated accommodation, dining and event support infrastructure for domestic and international delegates.
Commenting on the development, ITC Hotels Managing Director Anil Chadha highlighted the strategic importance of Yashobhoomi for the MICE industry and said the proposed hotel would showcase the group's strengths in service excellence and culinary leadership. The hotel is expected to play a pivotal role in reinforcing Yashobhoomi's positioning as a global destination for conferences, exhibitions and marquee events.
ITC Hotels already has a substantial presence in the Delhi-NCR region, with 10 operational properties comprising 1,599 rooms across multiple brands, including ITC Hotels, Welcomhotel and Fortune. The proposed Yashobhoomi hotel will further deepen this footprint and align with the company's broader growth strategy focused on premium urban locations with strong business and event-driven demand.
The development reflects the increasing convergence of large-scale convention infrastructure and high-end hospitality, as India seeks to position itself as a competitive global destination for international events and business tourism.
