Leela Palaces Hotels and Resorts has set up a new wholly owned subsidiary to strengthen its presence in the luxury hospitality segment and support future expansion plans under The Leela brand. The move aligns with the company's long-term strategy of consolidating ownership and management of its premium assets.
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs issued the certificate of incorporation for the new entity, Leela Imperial Suites Private Ltd, during the past week. The subsidiary has been incorporated in India and is registered with the Registrar of Companies, Delhi. It has not yet started business operations.
According to a regulatory filing, the primary objective of the newly incorporated company is to own, operate, manage, and develop luxury hotels and resorts under The Leela brand. Leela Palaces Hotels and Resorts holds 100 percent of the share capital of Leela Imperial Suites, along with its nominee shareholders.
The Leela brand has been a prominent name in India's luxury hospitality space for decades, with a portfolio that includes palaces, city hotels, and resorts across key domestic and international destinations. The formation of a dedicated subsidiary is expected to provide greater operational flexibility as the group evaluates new projects and growth opportunities in the premium hospitality market.
