The existing R-wallet cashback facility will continue alongside the new discount scheme.
The Railway Ministry has issued instructions to the Centre for Railway Information Systems to make the required technical changes in the RailOne app to ensure smooth implementation of the discount. The ministry has also sought a review of the scheme's performance by May 2026 to assess passenger response and operational impact.
