The Jaipur Municipal Corporation has carried out a demolition operation in the Hawa Mahal-Amber zone to remove unauthorised structures built on government land, signalling a stricter approach to illegal construction in the city. The action targeted encroachments on a demarcated parcel of civic land where buildings had been raised without approval, following repeated complaints and official verification of the encroachment. Additional unauthorised construction in a residential colony was also demolished during the drive. Officials emphasised that encroachments on public land will not be tolerated and that the municipal authority will continue close monitoring and immediate action against violations in the zone.
The Jaipur Municipal Corporation has undertaken a demolition drive in the Hawa Mahal-Amber zone to remove illegal and unauthorised constructions on civic land at the historic city's periphery. The operation formed part of the corporation's enforcement measures to protect public land and prevent unapproved development in regulated zones.
The action was focused on a plot identified as encroached upon and built over without municipal sanction. Following repeated complaints about the unauthorised structures in the area, land demarcation by the city's land records department confirmed that the occupied land belonged to the municipal authority and had been developed without valid permissions. Based on this verification, the civic body moved to demolish the encroachments and clear the site.
In a separate action during the same drive, buildings constructed without approval in a nearby residential colony were also demolished. Municipal officials overseeing the operation reiterated that protecting government land from illegal occupation and construction remains a priority for the civic administration.
Authorities indicated that continued monitoring will be carried out across the Hawa Mahal-Amber zone to prevent future violations. The corporation has stated that any further instances of unauthorised construction identified in the area will be acted upon promptly in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
