The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is set to e-auction more than 150 plots and sites across Delhi as part of its land monetisation drive to strengthen revenue. The offerings include residential, commercial, industrial, institutional and group housing plots, along with kiosks, shops, food courts and the Caf Bamboo Oasis at Baansera. The auction process was announced recently, with registrations already open. Bidders are required to complete e-registration and submit earnest money deposits before the deadline, after which the detailed auction schedule will be released.
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has announced plans to e-auction over 150 vacant plots and sites across the city to improve its revenue position by monetising unused land and built assets. The auction covers a wide mix of properties, including residential, commercial, industrial, institutional and group housing plots, along with shops, kiosks, food courts and a caf site at Baansera.
The initiative was unveiled on the authority's foundation day, marking another step in its ongoing effort to generate funds through transparent digital auctions. Registrations for the e-auction process have already begun, and interested bidders are required to complete online registration and deposit the applicable earnest money amount before the closing date at the end of January. The DDA has stated that the detailed auction schedule, including bidding dates and lot-wise information, will be issued after the registration window closes.
Residential plots proposed for auction are located in areas such as Rohini and Rajendra Nagar, while group housing plots are spread across sectors in Dwarka. The auction list also includes institutional plots and several industrial sites in designated zones. On the commercial side, the authority is offering shops at Janak Place, multiple kiosks, a food court in Dwarka, and the Caf Bamboo Oasis at Baansera, which will be allotted on an annual licence fee basis.
The DDA has clarified that all plots and sites offered through this process are free from legal encumbrances. To ensure smoother participation, a dedicated help desk has been set up to assist bidders with queries related to registration, digital signatures and documentation during working hours. In-person assistance is also available at the office of the Commissioner (Land Disposal) at Vikas Sadan.
This e-auction follows similar exercises conducted in recent years, where competitive bidding helped the authority unlock value from idle assets. By offering a diverse mix of land parcels and operational commercial spaces, the DDA is aiming to attract participation from developers, investors and small businesses alike.
